O, Lord Jesus !
Who has deigned call me up
into the host of the Knights
of Saint-John,
I pray Thee humbly,
by the intercession
of Holy Virgin Mary,
of Saint John the Baptist,
and all the Saints,
To help me keep faithul
to the ancient uses of our Order,
by practising the Christian Religion,
by protecting it against impiety
and by performing the duties of Charity
to the Neighbours
and especially with the Poor
and the Sick.
Give me the necessary strenght
to be able to fulfill all these wishes
in accordance with the teachings of the Gospel
and with a mind unselfish
and profoundly Christian,
for the Glory of God,
the Peace of the World
and the good of the Order
of Saint-John. Amen. |
