Introduction

Proposals for the O.S.J. Way of Life

FOR THE POSTULANTS AND ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE ORDER :

(Auxiliaries, Donats, Knights and Ladies)

1-Each day, to recite the Daily Prayer of the Order, in spiritual and hearty union with all Brothers
and Sisters Hospitallers of Saint-John.

2-To read again the OSJ Rule, at least every Sunday, and if possible every day.

3-To bind oneself a volontary help for Charity work in the service of the poor and the sick.

4-To attend the Order's Gatherings, without harming the daily duties.

FOR THE DONATS, THE KNIGHTS AND THE LADIES :

5-Each morning to pray the Prayer of the Beatitudes (morning) to ask for the Grace to learn how to live them better.

6-Each evening to pray the Prayer of the Beatitudes (evening) as a test and to be aware that plenty is still to be done.

FOR THE THE KNIGHTS AND THE LADIES :

7-Each day, to devote a moment for the Prayer for the Five honours of the Order, for instance by reciting ten " Pater noster... " or ten " Ave Maria... "for each honour

8-Each year, to Read again the whole New Testament.

N.B. The vow (" profession ") to use those eight Proposals during ones whole life makes up the most high level of commitment in the Order : " Profess OSJ " Knights and Ladies
